this place ROCKS. i had a wonderful time here. the breakfast buffet was so GOOD. THE jungle view made it even better. my room has a cool PRIVATE pool, I was able to swim whenever i wanted.

uneven experience, some good, some bad
kind stafffaulty water heaterblocked drainage
the staff were kind and tried their best, it is true.
The water heater did not work the day and night before i left. This was a major inconvenience. the receptionist said it would be fixed in two hours, but it was not. also, the drainage in the shower was blocked. Water flooded the toilet, even after i mentioned this to the reception. i left feeling disappointed.

I thought the grounds were gorgeous. I loved the jungle setting. the staff greeted me with a traditional balinese welcome ceremony, a sweet touch. i even got a delicious turmeric cocktail when i checked in. It felt very special.
The main pool's cold water was a surprise. I wish it had been warmer. i noticed several hidden steps in the pool too, twice i almost tripped. the food portions seemed a bit small for the price i paid. the flies were a bother as well. I think an interior dining area would help.

I loved the indoor outdoor villa concept. All doors could be opened, providing great privacy while connecting with nature. The amenities in the room were generous, including complimentary hats, tumblers, bug spray, and fruit. The setting is beautiful with extensive gardens. The friendly staff were pretty good too ensure our stay was nice.
I was charged for a cheap little straw bag. It went missing after spending several thousand USD at this hotel. It seemed ridiculous.

The location provides convenient access to local attractions. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery and offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. I woke up to the soothing sounds of birds. That created an unmatched sense of tranquility.

The service was perfect. There was a warm welcome upon arrival and attentive care throughout our visit. A special mention must be made of the butler. He was dedicated and provided personalized assistance.

The villas have their own private pool. The restaurant serves delicious food with fresh local ingredients. The pools were fun, with waterfalls, mini temples, and monkey statues! Excellent spa treatments and rooms sat above the river.

Really good Stay in a Beautiful Setting

The resort organized a driver, which simplified arrival. Staff greeted us with welcome drinks and a quick check-in. The grounds featured lush greenery maintained with care. An inclinator provided easy access to the valley and enhanced movement around the hotel. Varana Restaurant provided warm staff and gluten-free options.
Delays occurred and a room was not ready until 45 minutes after arrival. The complimentary afternoon tea had sweets and few drink options. The all-you-can-eat BBQ was delayed and food wasn't replenished.

The suite was spacious and well-kept with design elements. The plunge pool was private and had an overview of the valley and jungle. Bathrooms included amenities, and towels were available.
